This is a great lake that is not too busy! It is similiar to McKenzie, but not as clear and clean. At the same time there are less people and you'll be able to find a spot for yourself. We were there in the rain, which was super fun! Would recommend.

Shhhhhhh, don't tell anyone but it's the nicest lake on the island, a great drive to reach it and no we had it all to ourselves in the 1st week of January during the peak season.

Nice lake and nice beach. The sand is so small, it's almost powder. It's less crowded than McKenzie and as much appealing. Definitely worth the little time to drive there.

After reading reviews on Lake Birabeen the hopes for “lake Mackenzie’s twin” was high however after arriving to what was a beautiful quiet spot to little to no people the water whilst clear was quite brown with mangroves growing across the spread of the shoreline.
