Having been to every other spot on the island we left Lake Wabby til last and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. It’s certainly no Lake McKenzie. Mostly sand there’s only a small green body of water to swim in. You have to walk to the look out and then branch off to the left for a 1km trek down to the lake area. The catfish in the lake are not in the least put off by human presence and are wonderful to watch and swim with. There are definitely dingoes nearby, as evidenced by the footprints we saw heading down the dune to the water's edge, so it pays to remain vigilant. The water was warm and delicious to swim in.
