Fantastic short walk past huge variety of native flora. We did this walk end of January when the wildflowers were in abundance. From the dirt carpark is a asphalt path suitable for wheelchair or pram use taking 5-10 minutes each way depending on how often you stop. The rock art has a raised wooden walkway encircling it with some explanation panels. Return the same way or take the dirt track that loops back alongside the WoyWoy road to enjoy more flowers.

An outstanding aboriginal art site located about 300 metres from Woy Woy Road at Kariong. The engravings were drawn at least 200+ years ago say local aboriginal elders. The path that leads from the carpark to the drawings is concreted. The path around all the drawings is a boardwalk. I highly recommend visiting this location. There is no shelter, cafe or toilets at this location. There is a small carpark. #kariong #CentralCoast

This is a great place to visit if you are interested in history and Indigenous culture. Amazing how history is still around after so many years. I love the fact that the engraving site has been well preserved and has a boardwalk around it. Definitely a place to visit snd worth a look- set in a quiet spot. If you go there, take a short drive further along to Staples lookout. Amazing view 🙂

Truly gorgeous place, more should be done to protect other sites the way this has been protected. Steven Strong & Evan Strong on YouTube are more than worth watching if you’re interested in Australia’s prehistory, the original peoples story & our history as humans. I explored this late at night, so no photos. Easy access & a fantastic place to start learning, they are so much more than primitive carvings. Stay open minded, explore the...
