Horizontal Falls — Attraction in Kimbolton

Had THE BEST DAY! We were driven from Broome up north to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, we learnt all about how they are produced and also the history of this place which was really interesting and better than expected. Then we went and got a seaplane that landed on a pontoon, on the pontoon was a section we could get in and swim right next to these sections there little sharks come along. We were able to feed them it was awesome. We also got fed on this big pontoon too! Great food 👍 Then we took a boat to see the horizontal falls! We got to go through one of the 2. In told due to a previous accident we’re only allowed to go through one.. to me that wasn’t a problem you get to view both and go through the one that’s a bit wider, several times! We had a great time I’d say because that can determine the difference in water levels. So the boat definitely dipped down as it came through from the higher tide section to lower. Was so much fun. Apparently David Attenborough named it this which is so cool. Then we left there and got on a plane that took us over the falls which is next level amazing! Truly get there ASAP! Soon you won’t be able to go through either of the gorges. Saying that even if you get to view it in a boat I think it’ll still be worth it cos you can see one side is higher water from afar and that in itself...

An absolutely brilliant tour, if you can afford the extra spend…DO IT! We did the half day tour from Cygnet Bay. The pilots were brilliant and the scenery from the air was breathtaking. Such a fantastic way to experience this part of the Kimberley. We zoomed in and around the horizontal falls and experienced it during fast and nearly zero flows. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of barramundi and salads followed by the feeding of the sharks (what a brilliant close encounter part of the tour). Our tour guide Nicole was VERY knowledgeable and passionate about this very special place. When we returned at the end of the tour (after another fabulous scenic flight) to the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, we enjoyed a 1 hour Pearl farm tour which was very informative and a clever way to wrap up the day’s events. This is the best thing we have ever done, please don’t think about the money and just do it! We did the overnight tour from Derby and it was phenomeoul. You get to go on a plane, experience the amazing jet boat going thorough the falls, stay in the beautiful horizontal hotel, swim with sharks and do so much more. The staff are so friendly and courteous. The food was fresh, plentiful and delicious. The falls are just extraordinary and it makes you really sit back and see how stunning this world is, it was the greatest experience ever to see this wonder of the world. We cannot fault anything.
