A beautiful gorge on the mighty Fitzroy River in North West Western Australia. A short 20km drive from Fitzroy Crossing, the National Park is open from May to October in the dry season. Please keep an eye out for cattle along the road as you will be driving through a cattle station. Daily boat tours are run by the Department of Parks and Wildlife. You can book via the visitor centre situated just off the highway in Fitzroy Crossing. There is also a short walk adjacent to the river with informative signage along the way. If you are bringing your own boat please be aware of the resricted launching/retrieving times (call the visitor centre for more...

This is a great stop over in Fitzroy and not far from the main town., it’s a bitumen road in. We went here just to do the walks and they were excellent. There is also a river cruise here and you don’t need to book, just show up at certain times they are on. The main Jarrambayah walk was an easy 4.4 km return walk and sandy, it takes you through amazing rock formations, there are plaques to read more about the formations also and it’s easy to follow.

Our day trip to Geikie Gorge National Park has been one of the high lights of our travels the flora and fauna was unbelievable and the chance to be able to get up close and personal with the wildlife made it all that more exciting. The guide was very friendly and informative. It was incredible to see the high water marks on the cliff face. Please like this review if you...

Park is not closed. Don't believe other reviews. There was a sign "road closed" like 800 m before the final car park but for no reason. You can walk it or drive just fine. There are toilets which looks quite new but ugly, without running water and clogged toilets. You can walk along the river on a short walking trail and we even saw one freshwater crocodile there. Beautiful.
