Bay of Shoals Wines — Attraction in Kingscote

This place deserves 1000 stars. I was recently on KI and decided I needed a bit of luxury after camping in the dirt for nearly 2 weeks. I decided to find a nice bottle of local wine to take back to the swag with me. Everyone suggested this winery, everyone! So follow all the signs and go up a gorgeous driveway that was so welcoming. I hit the cellar door and did the curious look around for a few moments until I was greeted by a gorgeous, bright and happy english lady. We spoke for a bit, talking about wines and the island. Eventually we decided I would be best suited to a lovely rose`. It was a perfect match, she had truly matched me to the perfect wine for the perfect sunset on Chapman River. Local legend. Today was our last day on the island, decided to go up to this winery. We were greeted so warmly. The ladies were so nice and energetic, we went with two tasting boards to try some reds and whites, very reasonable price point to try and we bought some wine afterwards they took the cost off the tasting which was nice. My wife and I went for a tasting with a seafood platter. Even though we misread the reservation and arrived an hour early, our tasting guide, Nina, was able to quickly accommodate us and provided excellent hospitality. The food and wine were delicious, and we ended up bringing multiple bottles home with us.
