My recent visit to Crocodylus Park in Darwin left me awe-inspired and deeply impressed. This exceptional wildlife sanctuary deserves nothing less than a glowing five-star review for its commitment to conservation, captivating exhibits, and immersive experiences. From the moment I stepped foot into Crocodylus Park, I was greeted by an enchanting world of reptilian wonders. The park's dedication to the preservation of crocodiles and other wildlife was evident in the educational and engaging exhibits. I found myself immersed in a fascinating journey, learning about the unique characteristics, behaviors, and importance of these magnificent creatures. The park's highlight, undoubtedly, was the incredible crocodile encounters. Getting up close to these ancient predators was an experience like no other. The guided tours and feeding sessions provided a thrilling spectacle, allowing me to witness the power and grace of these remarkable reptiles firsthand. The passionate and knowledgeable staff enhanced the experience, sharing their expertise and answering all my questions with enthusiasm. Crocodylus Park extends beyond crocodiles, showcasing a diverse range of wildlife from around the world. The park's collection of reptiles, including snakes, turtles, and lizards, was impressive. Additionally, the park is home to a variety of other animals, such as birds, primates, and big cats, providing a well-rounded wildlife experience that appeals to visitors of all ages. The park's commitment to conservation and education is commendable. Through their informative talks and interactive experiences, they shed light on the importance of preserving our natural ecosystems and the role these animals play in maintaining the delicate balance of our planet. It was heartening to see their efforts towards research, breeding programs, and raising awareness about the plight of endangered species. Crocodylus Park is a great place to visit, I highly recommend visiting. The park started off as a crocodile research facility, and still participates in research projects but now includes other indigenous and exotic animals and is now a tourist destination (its other animals include monkeys and lions). The adult crocodiles here are rescued from the wild, as they have been aggressive toward boats/humans/etc and are a potential risk out in the wild. The staff/rangers at the park are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, very very enthusiastic and always willing to answer a whole swathe of different questions. They even opened with "Please ask us questions, we love questions, there is no such thing as a dumb question". I highly recommend attending a crocodile feeding session, where visitors had the chance to dangle chicken giblets into the crocodile breeding pens. Also, the boat ride is awesome, it incurs a small extra charge (but easily well worth it). This is a trip through their man-made estuary/river which they built many years ago, and they have stocked 40-odd crocs in it, lots of native vegetation, and a bunch of local wildlife has migrated into there as well. There is also a chance to hold a small crocodile, as well as reptiles such as snakes. There is also a museum which is generally quite good but compared to the rest of the park, is a let down. Some of the exhibits are a bit of a joke, and when we were there, the museum had an awful smell (this was in the middle of the wet season, so I'm not sure if it was a factor). Overall though, omitting the museum which needs a good overhaul, it's a great place to visit for young and old and includes a small canteen and gift shop.

I had read some really negative reviews about the park prior to going out there but having poked my nose around most corners of the estate today I have to say what a lovely place. Well maintained, good enclosures, healthy well looked after animals birds and reptiles. People go on about the tiny cramped conditions the crocs are in - if they are referring to the breeding pens of course they aren't huge - there has to be some oversight and control over what is happening. I'm not an expert but I know lizards very well and if they are distressed, unwell or sick they stop eating and it shows - sunken eyes, lethargy, dull scales, generally malaised. I did not see one single animal bird or reptile in that park that appeared to be suffering and believe me i look for it. We had a lovely couple of hours there. Chatted with the rhinoceros iguanas (very good listeners!) Watched the birdlife, saw some dingoes which if I'm honest after a few years of working in the central desert they are not a favourite, but they were relaxed, in good condition and well cared for that much was very obvious. There is no welfare issue at this park and your money goes to supporting the animals so consider it money really well spent. I had a lovely break from normal routine just ten minutes from Central Darwin. What a gem of a place. We will be going back there.

It was a fantastic experience for everyone. Good value and a must do when in Darwin. It's very different to crocosauraus Cove and definitely worth seeing both. Maps & paths are good and pram friendly. Animals are varied and very cool / cute, enclosures were good. Highlight was the jumping crocodiles boat tour. Our male tour guide, whose name escapes me, was very exuberant, energetic, and informative. Watching the feeding was a brilliant experience. Very safe, but close to the action. It's definitely worth doing the boat tour, a must do. The park also does research & breeding. Any money spent goes back into that & the park, so a great cause. Gift shop was really good too. Cafe definitely needs some work. Really just fried food, no dietary options. Ordered bucket of chips at 2 after boat cruise & was told 15min wait, 30 for wedges which is quite a long time so didn't bother with them = Lost revenue. Perhaps some sandwiches / rolls premade, or salads, lasagne, quiche etc. for sale would be better in the hot weather. Easier and faster to pre-prepare & do in bulk & turn patrons in seats over faster, which would equal better income. Overall great experience, appreciate your work

Well sign posted and easy to find with Google maps! Car park had plenty of spaces. What an enjoyable 3hrs I spent at this park! $44 admission and $18 for the boat trip which is a must if you visit here!!... you could easily spend a lot longer here but I like just looking at the animals once. The park is very well kept, animals have plenty of food and the animals look very well kept, no patchy fur, all lizards healthy with no sunken eyes, snakes had clean enclosures, good information plates about the animals etc... Certainly one of the better animal parks I have been to! The boat trip with croc jumping is the cream on the cake, this was fantastic! Dani, the guide, gave super information during the trip around the lagoon, she was clear, concise and helpful making sure everyone had a chance to get some nice photos or videos of this special little trip, really was quite interesting to hear about these reptiles and just be in awe at their power and speed when taking the food on offer! Definitely a place to visit if you are in Darwin and want to see some interesting animals/reptiles and ofcourse some jumping crocs!

This is no regular zoo. This is a true blue attraction for both tourist and the most hardened of Aussie jackaroo’s. In many ways yes, it has a linear zoo experience of walking past enclosures and viewing animals through glass (which I for one think is awesome anyway) but the true heart of this place is the boat cruise. In this you get to see the crocodiles in their natural habitat and see how the can appear and disappear into the murky water at a moments notice and it is awesome to see the crocodiles jump out of the water mere centimetres from where you sit. Now a slight negative to this place is that it is quite pricy and anything else (such as the boat cruise mentioned before, or feeding the monkeys) costs a little bit extra. However a years pass for two adults is only $60 which is very cheap in my opinion.
