We had decided to spend a day searching for waterfalls, and we drove past this place and decided to stop. What a great idea to stop. It was really really fun to see all the animals. I got to pet a kangaroo and feed them and the koalas were so cute. I really enjoyed feeding a cassowary the animals were really fun and you got to see all the native Australian ones up close. We did the duck tour that went through the rainforest our guide was excellent. He explained all the flora and Fauna and stopped and showed us, a lot of different trees, butterflies, birds, and even some really really creepy spiders. I definitely would recommend doing the Duck boat tour. They had a nice gift shop and then a place that you could have all you can eat barbecue lunch. It was very affordable about AU$25 each. They had yummy barbecue chicken. They had some steak some sort of sausage I had tofu stirfry and a delicious pumpkin soup And wonderful exotic fruit to eat. I would definitely recommend staying for the buffet. It was well worth the money we spent. If you’re in the area, this is a must stop place to visit.

We bought the ‘big nature package’ along with our trip on the Skyrail. Overall, we did and saw a lot which included seeing animals, aboriginal dance/show and the army duck - our tour guide for this (Alicia) was fantastic, very entertaining and informative! We also opted to purchase the aussie bbq which was great, huge range of tasty food. some areas to improve though - we were unaware that the shuttle bus to the park was not included in our package, which cost an additional $13 each for an adult return. For a 10 minute bus journey, we thought this was very pricey! What’s more, the shuttle bus is not very often. When we arrived in Kuranda, the next shuttle bus was in 45 minutes, which meant we would miss the time of our booking so we had to ring ahead to change. The point of a shuttle bus is it’s often and should be free when purchasing a ticket. Lastly, there were a lot of school kids.. this ruins it a bit for other visitors. Overall good but don’t think we quite got our value for money.

One of the key attraction for kuranda..... The whole thing is soso with some really bad experience. The army duck tour is done very professional but falls flat on entertaining. I try to kept myself awake but eventually failed!. The park itself is not very well maintained compare to others like dreamword, Animal living condition and visitor facility is desperate for an upgrade. The worse is the kualoa photo. First they bump us off our booking to make room of a group tour. Then it is done is such a rush we have no time to post for the photo. Worse is the Kualoa seem to be very cranky and the staff can't be border to change another one! If you want a rainforest army duck experience then this may be your only choice, otherwise there are better army duck experience in QLD. Other featurea so poor that make the even a pass.

The overall experience at the park left me feeling concerned about the animals' living conditions. Specifically, I observed that many of them appeared confined to small spaces that didn't allow for natural movement or behaviors. For instance, the kookaburra (not the best photo) and other birds were housed in small cages where they couldn't fly freely. Similarly, the dingoes seemed to lack adequate space for running and appeared to be in poor physical condition. It's important for Nature Parks to prioritize the welfare and enrichment of their animal residents, and improvements in habitat size and quality would greatly enhance visitors' experiences and the well-being of the animals.

Super great place whether you're just coming in on the entrance fee to see things or spending all the money to do all the different activities. We had a rental car so we just drove up the hill and parking was easy. We did all the different activities and what I really like was that they were all generally about a half hour in length. They were good and engaging activities, like the traditional Aboriginal dance, The boomerang throwing, The duck boat tour (45 min), spear throwing, introduction to the yiki-yiki/didgeridoo., or pictures with the koalas. Overall there are outstanding opportunities to engage with animals and learn the cultural history of the Aboriginal people.

Our trip highlight was the Army Duck tour at this fantastic location, wish we had more time to spend here. Captain Chris made the tour amazing with his informative and humorous approach, especially with the kids. The staff was extraordinary and the scenery was beautiful. We can't wait to come back to experience the whole package. The Aboriginal dance was energetic and educational, and the hosts for the boomerang throwing were accommodating and funny. The café next door had a variety of delicious and refreshing drinks and food, and the gift shop had affordable and great artworks and shirts. This place is indeed worth a visit!
