Cunninghams Crest Lookout — Attraction in Laidley

After we enjoy the beautiful of Sunflower at Allora, we choose this place as our last destination before home. This is our first time, so we did not have any expectation.

When we arrive, wow, the view is really great. From this place we can see sunset in its great colour. Easy to find parking space and not too crowded. It is like a hidden gem. Lucky us we have a chance to visit this place.

Incredible views out to Cunningham's gap to the south, and sweeping vistas across the Lockyer Valley to the Toowoomba range to the west. Well worth a visit just for the scenery alone. There are art installations depicting the early history of the area, including indigenous carvings. A picnic table and shelter are provided, but no public amenities on site. Neat nd tidy. If your touring the rim or the valley then stop in. There is a story board on the climb up the stairs. However if your on the scout for a scenic lookout maybe look elsewhere. The views were impeded by trees. The time taken for the small glimpse of the lake would have been better spent driving 10 mins up the road to the lake itself. There were tables for a picnic and ample parking but...
