Drove all the way to the end and parked close enough so that we good get fishing rods and gear out easily. A large black mass of bait fish was sheltered under the jetty, trying to avoid the dive bombing from seagulls. We stayed for about 2 hours and saw rays, sharks, sea snakes, and turtles. I didn't mean to, but somehow, I hooked a turtle. Luckily, the Paternosta rig I was using had a fail-safe mechanism that, with a hard tug, made the hook snap off.

Very fun jetty fishing. I saw stonefish, squid, sea snakes, pike and loads of the more common varieties of fish, all in the space of 1 day. Not supposed to stay overnight/camp but there were plenty of campervans/buses that appeared to be setup for the night. No ranger in sight. Great spot!

Access during daylight only as it Department of defence property. Easy access and great for kids and amateurs like us to catch Brim and flat head with bait. Check the tides, high to brings more fish, but can get you soaked. Low tide still has fish, but don't expect keepers. Still fun.

Could see so many different species in the water. Squid would be scooting over clear waters looking for injured baitfish. Couldn’t get anything to bite but the tide hadn’t turned while we were there. Did notice some whiting being pulled in up the beach near the jetty. Worth the drive if the winds not too bad. Quite protected from southerly winds even if it is...

Thought we may get out the wind on that side of the peninsula but to no avail. Water was somewhat murky as a result. Appreciate it would be a pleasant spot under favourable conditions but that was not the case for us. I don't know that I would go there again. Although convenient place to fish from and we witnessed someone...
