Verandah Cave — Attraction in Lidster

Great little walk from the carpark (7km return) that is mostly flat and path cleared via mower. If you approach what appears to be a dead end and a lacklustre cave, turn back 100m and head up the hill.. hardest part of the walk! Unfortunately we went on the day of a school excursion so time spent in the cave was minimal as kids are obnoxious at the best of times (I really hope they took their rubbish as entire walk looks well looked after). Walk borders people properties so plenty of cows to see and greet...

Verandah cave is a 7km round trip Tunnel cave however is 150m from the car park! Great for kids, fun and exciting for adults. A river passes under the cliff and you can follow along it and then climb up and explore the black caverns. Some opportunities to get on your belly and squeeze through some side tunes or just walk through the main tunnel
