You can visit on a 2WD as well I think in dry conditions. Some sections of road have loose rocks but SUVs that have better ground clearance compared to Sedan cars should have no problem at all I reckon. Found few guys driving in the park on a sedan car too:)
Walking track to the summit is not hard for reasonably fit but be prepared to walk thru bushes. Views on top the summit are not bad. On hot days, come prepared with plenty of water (temperature can soar above 35 on a hot day in park) and insect repellent.
