Camped at horseshoe bend, great paid campsite on the river. You must book online. Lovely swim in the river, flushing toilets and fireworks. No other amenities. Lots of kookaburras... And they are not afraid to steal your food from your plate. They were flying under our awning to steal food .. Even tried to grab the lamb out of the camp oven, still in the flames! (We did not feed them at all)

leave nothing but footprints!

4WD ing some very soft sandy tracks through the park was a bit of fun. (If anyone finds the top 1/3rd of a sand flag... It's ours) lots of kangaroos speed around the waterfront holes, emus and...

As this was my first trip through the Little Desert l was so excited to see all the fauna and flora of this area. The trip was organised with a 4x4 club, and the trip leader knows this area very well. As most of the tracks we went down was sandy and dry we really didn't need to engage 4x4 on the vehicles. I had told stop the journey in the middle as l had some personal things to take care of, but was told by the other members that the tracks got alot tougher as they continued further, even one vehicle getting bogged trying to pull out another vehicle. Next time this trip goes l will...

Little Desert National Park is an absolute gem! I had a fantastic time exploring its diverse landscapes, from lush woodlands to mesmerizing sand dunes. The wildlife sightings were incredible, and the park's conservation efforts are commendable. The well-maintained trails and informative signage made it an educational adventure. It's a must-visit for nature enthusiasts, and I can't...

Spent 2 days here and never saw another car, i guess with it's big brother not far away this little desert might get overlooked. Well worth the adventure. Didn't need to air down the sand was sticky due to the time of year. Easy enough to avoid the large mud holes in the road so a modest 4wd will get you there.

A drive into the desert.. not really a desert but surrounded by all white sand.. supportive weather is must though.. 4fwd drive cars not required unless weather is bad.. we went straight through via hatchback car.. Picnic ground in the central area.. possibly isolated..
