Camped at horseshoe bend, great paid campsite on the river. You must book online. Lovely swim in the river, flushing toilets and fireworks. No other amenities. Lots of kookaburras... And they are not afraid to steal your food from your plate. They were flying under our awning to steal food .. Even tried to grab the lamb out of the camp oven, still in the flames! (We did not feed them at all)

The trip was organised with a 4x4 club, and the trip leader knows this area very well. As most of the tracks we went down was sandy and dry we really didn't need to engage 4x4 on the vehicles. I had told stop the journey in the middle as l had some personal things to take care of, but was told by the other members that the tracks got alot tougher as they continued further, even one vehicle getting bogged trying to pull out another vehicle.
