Beautiful garden with lots of European plants and flowers. So if you are nostalgic for whatever you grew up in other part of the world - this is right place to go. Huge territory, four different areas from dry garden to wet lands. Nice winding tracks across thousands of colorful blums and finishing with gorgeous bushy roses. Super welcoming hosts will offer you free coffee, tea and yummy highfiled cookies so you can complete your experience enjoying your snacks sitting at backyard with astonishing view of blue mountains and listening to relaxing music. Note: the garden is little bit further on the road than it marked on the map on the left hand side.

This garden is beautiful. I admire the use of texture and colour to create a lovely aesthetic. The garden is stunning in spring, and despite the recent hot dry spell this late summer, it didn't disappoint. It was a different version of beauty. I recommend a visit to Highfields Garden when the opportunity presents.

Gorgeous gem of a garden. A mix of naturalistic elements with the owner’s passion for roses and irises popping out everywhere. Some great intimate sections to chill in for a while.

We stayed at the Highfields Gatehouse recently. To be honest the garden is a little worse for wear and needs some TLC but we did stay during winter. The accomodation is lovely and well presented (apart from wet washing left in the washing machine and a dryer that did not seem to work). More concerning however we didn't feel safe staying here. We went out for a walk and lunch only to come back and find the front door unlocked with keys hanging out of the lock...clearly visible from the front of the property. We were worried as our belongings could have been stolen and we were not sure if someone was still inside. We had to search inside if anyone was there or anything was missing and make sure all windows and doors were locked again, it left us feeling very uneasy especially as female travellers. Disappointingly when we emailed the owners to ask for an explanation they did not respond. We would not...

Four of us stayed at the gatehouse this weekend. WOW!!!’ We’re meant to be in New York for a wedding anniversary and Sylvie to covid we booked the gatehouse instead. Amazing!! Words can’t describe the stylish accommodation. Five stars on everything from kitchen, bathrooms, beds, fireplace, gardens. You can’t get better than this. Well done Andrew and David.
