We went in search of pink lake, and were happy but also a bit disappointed as we did not see what we expected. This place is 1.5hrs from main Adelaide city and from searches we were hoping for a nice pink lake. But maybe because of weather and incorrect timing- the lake fid not had much water and was very dry. Although the good part was we could walk for quite a long way over the lake surface and could see the pink colour of the exposed lake surface along with the salts.

冬天來風有點大 拍照時頭髮跟瘋婆子一樣,湖水當然不是非常粉紅,可是這個自然景觀已經很美了,不調色也是粉粉的👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾

We passed this lake last 2 year on our way to Clare from Port Wakefield. Due to our tight schedule, however we can't stop. Today we stopped by and were happy with the pink lake and the statue of loch eel monster. There is a toilet behind the town hall which was helpfull. HOWEVER, the coffee shop was closed. In addition, the local government should ban pets since we found a lot of dog poo on our way...

On your drive from Adelaide to Yorke Peninsula we highly recommend stopping by at Lake Bumbunga. This pink salt lake is one of the most amazing lakes in SA.

The ideal time to visit this place is during the transitional months that is from March - May (autumn) or September- November (spring)
