Winter Brook Vineyard — Attraction in Loira

Winter Brook is a vineyard long Hjorts Road in the Loira area of the Tamar Valley. They have a really nice wine tasting setup with indoor and outdoor seating and are open from 11am to 4pm (closed on Tuesdays).

Wine tasting includes 8 different wines, a nice mix of Whites and Reds. We enjoyed several of each and particularly enjoyed their Dornfelder 2023, Maverick 2023 and Pinot Gris 2024 wines which we ended up purchasing (10% discount if you purchase two + bottles). We brought these back to Hong Kong and really enjoyed them with evening meals at home.

Overall, we had a really good time at Winter Brook. We'd gladly return to repurchase each of the bottles above. This was a nice venue and fruitful wine...

Enjoyed a lovely visit with the owner, Sandy. She was incredibly knowledgeable, and even though she appeared to be working 3 or 4 tastings at once, she wasn't flustered or hurried. We visited Winterbrook recently and found the pleasant engaging staff to be a great asset to the vineyard, the cheese and cured meat platter was exceptional and the wines outstanding with a array of varieties not expected from a smaller vineyard. We look forward to revisiting to check out Winterbrooks next season reds, once again only small parcels will be available but we have great expectations based on the wine we sampled...
