Emma’s cottage is literally a home away from home. The sunsets and sunrises on the cottage are breathtaking. We stayed in cottage 2 and the cottage contains all the basics you would need including a bbq and a fire place. The beds are the most comfortable of any place I’ve stayed. There’s wasn’t anything lacking that I could think of and the quietness on the property makes you feel so at peace. I booked the recommended tour with taste of the hunter and Kevin was a gem! Fun and friendly. The vines outside of each cottage makes it a little more special. We were given and complimentary platter and bottle of wine and all the other inclusions like the soaps and body washed were great quality and also a complimentary wine tasting. Emma was wonderful. I would highly recommend staying at Emma’s cottage if you want a peaceful time away.

We had our wedding at Emma's Cottage over the Easter weekend and we cannot recommend it enough! The staff, particularly Meg, are phenomenal and the venue and accommodation are absolutely gorgeous. We chose this venue over all the other amazing places in the region firstly because of the staff, but also because of the incredible value they provide for functions. We still pop in to see Meg and we're always welcomed like family. No one would be disappointed to spend an afternoon wine tasting or a weekend for a wedding at Emma's 🥰

We just had two couples in the 2 bedroom cottage called Ikunji and it was a beautiful weekend at Emma's. The outlook over the vines and BBQ at home was great. The place was comfortable enough but the beds were terrible. They were very squeaky cheap beds that woke the house up if you rolled over in the night! Real shame as that really took away from the appeal of the place. Everything else was fine - we used the pool quite a bit which was good, although not very private as it's right next to the cellar door. We did a tasting and bought some wines which were lovely and the girl helping (Kendall I believe) was very helpful and friendly. We didn't see the owners at all which didn't bother us. One thing to note is that there was no oven which we didn't think to check beforehand. We also had no phone reception or WIFI - but that is pretty common in the Hunter at the moment and didn't detract from the weekend. The restaurant run by Friedhall and his wife was absolutely top notch! We had coffee everyday and breakfast on the last morning which was all brilliant. We also had a long boozy lunch there Sunday which was superb. They were very friendly and helpful with the menu, going out of their way to make sure we had a great time and excellent food that we...

What a delightful way to start and end the Lovedale long lunch 2019- a morning start on the shuttle where staff were informative and friendly . Our hosts of Emma cottage are certainly friendly and knowledgeable of the Lovedale proceedings , with a few changes in RSA responsibilities as the licensing police normally determine we knew what to expect and caused no problems for our group of 8 ranging in age - |We managed to eat at every winery we visited and no one was disappointed in their meals - |A few of the ladies saved their last main to sample the curry at Emma’s and were glad they did . We tried some new wines for us at Emma’s the Semillion Verdello and Semillion - very nice |We were very lucky to get accommodation at the last moments and I would recommend staying in this gorgeous part of the hunter at anytime . The cottages are lovely well maintained ,with a beautiful outlook. We will be...
