Beautiful coral and plenty of fish. One of the only spots you are allowed to spearfish near Coral bay but I must warn you it is very Sharky.
As soon as you spear a fish a shark will not be far behind and from our experience they come in very close right into the shallows, I am not sure what kind of sharks they are but it can be intimidating for novice or less experienced snorkelers.
You can get to the reef either by a 4wd track which you need to deflate your tires to get across the sand dunes

Read moreAwesome spot - tricky to get to though without a 4WD/AWD as there is some lengthy tracks with a few rocky sections & lots of soft sand boggy sections. If you do take to any tracks - letting your tyres down is a MUST as even though it takes a few extra minutes it saves the tracks from being carved up so much as is the case with this one. The journey is rewarded though with the beautiful stretch of white sand beach - great fishing along the beach south of the fingers & great snorkelling around the fingers. Normally it's a good spot to escape the crowds (if there are any)...
Read moreThoroughly enjoyed the 4x4ing over sand dunes to get in (we came through a track from Stevens Camp, so not the conventional way). We got their nice and early so had plenty of spots to choose from to park up
We were in and out of the water all day! We saw such varied sea life, it was incredible! Highlights definitely include the Black Tip Reef Shark (which are super skittish, by the time you realise it's around it's probably gotten scared and shot off somewhere, very cool), Octopus and a large Green Sea Turtle
