Beautiful coral and plenty of fish. One of the only spots you are allowed to spearfish near Coral bay but I must warn you it is very Sharky. As soon as you spear a fish a shark will not be far behind and from our experience they come in very close right into the shallows, I am not sure what kind of sharks they are but it can be intimidating for novice or less experienced snorkelers. You can get to the reef either by a 4wd track which you need to deflate your tires to get across the sand dunes Or you can walk along the coastline but be warned it is not a clearly marked track and will take you about an hour so be prepared with plenty of sunscreen and water.

Mother nature at her best,4 wheel drive access track to the beach, must be self sufficient, we went kayaking & could see the reef, the water was crystal clear💙🐠🐠🐠🐠we also went for a snorkel 🤿 beautiful coral reef✅️we then had our picnic lunch & boiled the Billy for a cuppa🐠🐠🐠,visit 2 : snorkelling with a turtle, 2 reef sharks sighted today ,1000's of tropical 🐠🐟🐠fish large corals 🪸 plenty of sea cucumbers 🥒 a big stingray & an octopus 🐙 ♥️❤️

Great for snorkelling, swimming, standing up paddle boarding and underwater photography in crystal blue waters plus 4X4 beach driving. You will need to air down to gain access to the beach but it’s a short 2klm drive to a beautiful beach with way less people than in Coral Bay. Access to Five Fingers Reef is just before Coral Bay jetty parking area. The reef is also in better condition than at Coral Bay.

Awesome spot - tricky to get to though without a 4WD/AWD as there is some lengthy tracks with a few rocky sections & lots of soft sand boggy sections. If you do take to any tracks - letting your tyres down is a MUST as even though it takes a few extra minutes it saves the tracks from being carved up so much as is the case with this one. The journey is rewarded though with the beautiful stretch of white sand beach - great fishing along the beach south of the fingers & great snorkelling around the fingers. Normally it's a good spot to escape the crowds (if there are any)...

Thoroughly enjoyed the 4x4ing over sand dunes to get in (we came through a track from Stevens Camp, so not the conventional way). We got their nice and early so had plenty of spots to choose from to park up

We were in and out of the water all day! We saw such varied sea life, it was incredible! Highlights definitely include the Black Tip Reef Shark (which are super skittish, by the time you realise it's around it's probably gotten scared and shot off somewhere, very cool), Octopus and a large Green Sea Turtle

Super beginner friendly, beach is great. Have nothing bad...
