The Macquarie Pass National Park advertises two main walks, the Cascades Rainforest Walk and the Clover Hill Walk. The Cascades Rainforest Walk is 2 km return, they say it is a 30 minute round trip but I suggest you allow at least an hour then you can walk at a leisurely pace and enjoy the views, animals and vegetation. If you are lucky you will see Lyre birds, Rosella's, Finch and different types of lizards. The vegetation is interesting with different types of Fern and the amazing Strangler Fig. The walk is in good condition with steps and walkways to get you to the falls. At the falls their is a bit of a dam where you could cool off but it is not suitable...

A decent spot for those looking to experience nature without straying too far from Sydney. The walking trails are varied in difficulty, making them suitable for both beginners and seasoned hikers. The lush greenery and occasional wildlife sightings add to the charm.

However, it can get quite crowded on weekends, which might detract from the overall experience. Parking can also be a bit of a hassle during peak times. Facilities like picnic areas are available, but they can feel a bit neglected. Overall, it’s a good place for a short hike or a family picnic, but don’t expect a completely serene experience if you visit...

Brilliant 9km Long fire trail but breathtaking views and nice over hang shade. Great boulder hoping and exploring the area. Some slippery sections and be careful heading up to the tired waterfalls. Note - bring spare clothes with you for changing after finishing hike as you're bound to get wet. Pack plenty of water and snacks and a small towel. The water us just too good not to feel it on your skin. Download alltrails cloverhill trail map for the track shown in this review. Happy exploring and hiking. Don't forget to stop, admire where your feet have taken you and soak in the scevery. 10/10

This is an easy to find place located at the bottom of Macquarie pass. There are plenty of parking spaces as well. The cascades waterfall hike is approximately 1.6 km to the end and brings you to the beautiful cascades fall waterfall, which can be explored further or just sit and enjoy the sounds of nature. The hike is very easy and easy to follow, there's plenty of side tracks to explore if you want to get close to the water and see all the national park has to offer.
