A classic swimming hole. Deliightful place surrounded by natural rock formations - be careful of the eels in the water when there is no one around
They dont seem to bother you on weekends and holidays when there are lots of people swimming but if you throw a line in you will soon see what I mean.
There are also dangerous areas on the steps down to the falls where there are no handrails and there is no telephone reception or emergency services so make sure that you never go there alone. My husband fell and kind people took him to the hospital - 3 broken ribs. We wrote to the council department that promotes the Falls but did not even receive acknowledgement. The waterhole was refreshing for a swim, though the rocks can be a bit slippery, so be careful. There isn't much infrastructure around, which adds to its natural charm, but also means you'll need to bring your own food and water. Read moreReally nice little swimming spot.The walk down and back is easy. Good spot to pack a little picnic and take the kids for a day out. Great rock climbing for the brave. If you have really young ones I’d suggest bringing a floaty ring or something for you to pull them out into the water. The entrance to get in the water has rocks to step over and is easy by yourself but tricky with a 2 yr old. Wasn’t overly busy on a Sunday.
