Mannus Lake — Attraction in Mannus

Great camping areas x2. Drop toilets were very clean and fairly new.. concrete boat ramp and proper fish cleaning station. Lake is stocked simce 2015 with cod and yellas but has a large population of redfins fishing was hard the 24h we spent there n i only seen one reddy landed at 25cm by a local using grubs. Many fish coming up on the sounder but and spotted on the surface while driving boat and enjoying a coldy in the evening. ""# PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL NEED A STEEL BUCKET OR ALIKE FOR YOUR FIRE."" as this is sign posted due to being 50m from a pine forest. Council has bins up there for rubbish great family stopover on your way thru tghe mtns. Water depths from 0-8m great for kayaks not a skiing lake due to 8 knot...

We arrived on a Wed afternoon and all was good until Friday afternoon. Two big groups arrived parked in front of us, there goes our view. The problem was that the camping area closer to the day area has been completly taken over by horse people. Apparently ranger come by to check everything and then when to chat to his friends the horse people.This is totally unfair to rest of the campers. Not happy about this great place with a big RED CROSS for weekend...
