The route is compacted gravel/path up until the final 100m when it involves some scrambling/walking over rocks to get to the base of the waterfall. The lookout point avoids this and keeps with a path.
The rocks around the waterfall are very very smooth and so are slippery even when dry, let alone when wet.
We went for a swim afterwards in the creek below the waterfall as was easier with kids. Getting in and out of the water by the waterfall could be quite tricky given how slippery it is.
