Lost City Track Car Park – A Work in Progress with Promise 🚗🌿 Currently, the Lost City car park area is still under construction, so off-street parking is available for now. While it’s a bit rough around the edges at the moment, once the work is complete, you can expect plenty of parking spaces and a dedicated toilet facility — which will make a big difference for visitors. Despite the ongoing work, the location is still worth the visit. Just a short walk from the car park, you’ll find a peaceful water creek, hints of old mining relics, and of course, the stunning Lost City trail waiting to be explored. Even in its current state, the area is manageable, and you can tell it's going to be a well-equipped and welcoming spot once the upgrades are done. Looking forward to seeing it all come together soon!

An easy to moderate walk inside the Gardens of Stone National Park near Lithgow. The trail is a half loop or can be done as a complete return walk. It takes around 2 hours with break and back to the parking lot, 3 hours would be sufficient. It’s a good introduction to the park that otherwise inaccessible by 2WD. For my liking, it’s a bit boring and is not challenging track. Good for family.

This is a stunning walk just outside of Lithgow. Highly recommended for a more off the beaten track Blue Mountains experience. The road has been recently upgraded, 4WD not required to reach the track.

Nice walk - new solid stone stairs greatly facilitate the (great deal of) ascending and descending segments. Recommend doing steep detour at beginning not end of circuit. Last bit before Northern Lookout easy to miss (which I did. several times). Road improved so now 2WD. Portaloo at...
