Acacia Ridge Winery Yarra Valley — Attraction in Melbourne

I cannot recommend this incredible venue - and the even more incredible owners - enough. Due to COVID, six weeks out from our wedding date we decided to change venues as ours was not big enough to accomodate our guests. I stumbled across Acacia on Instagram and Cathy (one of the owners) replied to my message instantly late one night to let me know our date was free (stroke of luck!) and organised a time to come by and check it out. We visited the venue and Lach (owner) showed us around and never once tried to push us into booking - simply showed us around and was very kind and sympathetic to our situation. We made the decision to change venues instantly - the venue is absolutely perfect and accommodates to all the potential weather Melbourne throws at us. Obviously changing venues six weeks out is stressful to say the least, but Cathy made it so easy and put my nerves at ease. She was always on hand at answer all the annoying questions I had and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Our day finally arrived and of course we had a 41 degree day and therefore decided to get married undercover which is just as beautiful as outside as you still get an incredible view. Whilst it was hot, the bridal suite (old miners hut) is the perfect room to chill out in with your bridal party as it is spacious and has great aircon! Cathy looked after us so well by making sure we had plenty of water and food to eat. Cathy and her team also set everything up (vases & candles) exactly how we wanted it and the setup looked beautiful. Everything ran so smoothly and every single guest could not stop gushing about what a beautiful venue it was and how lucky we were to get it. With Melbourne now in lockdown less than three weeks after our wedding, I simply cannot express in words how grateful I am to Cathy & Lach for making our dream day come true. We had the best night of our lives and if we weren't lucky enough to change our venue to this simply stunning place we wouldn't have been able to achieve that. Thank you so...

We cannot thank you enough for such an incredible day/night! I do not have words to describe how perfect everything was. It was such an incredible day and your venue looked phenomenal.

We received so many comments about how Acacia was so beautiful, incredible, amazing, just all the words! It was really nice because not many guests had been to Acacia before! But now I think you may have an influx of friends and family wanting to get married with you guys!! The photos honestly do not do your venue justice at all… We knew straight away that we wanted to get married with you guys! It’s just a beautifully, relaxed setting and we honestly fell in love with it straight away!

Cathy and Lach, thank you for your constant communication throughout the entire planning process, you always were there to answer any questions straight away, no matter how big or small and we really appreciate all your help in the lead up! You were so accomodating and just made it work!

Susie, what a legend of a human you are, everyone LOVED you on the night and kept making comments! Thank you for always checking in with us, making sure I ate haha and giving us drinks as you knew we couldn’t go anywhere without someone stopping us for a chat! Mum couldn’t speak more highly of you! But really you are a gem of a human and I appreciate all your support with running the wedding!

We honestly had the best night and it couldn’t have been more perfect! We were just blown away with everything and had so much fun!

Our dream of an outdoor vineyard ceremony for our wedding day was quickly changed by Melbourne’s unpredictable weather. However, Suzie, the event coordinator, was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She meticulously monitored the BOM radar and reassured us all day that we’d still get some amazing pictures (double rainbow!!!), ensuring we stayed calm despite the uncontrollable chaos. The stunning views at Acacia Ridge Winery were a highlight, but it was Suzie’s attention to detail that truly stood out and made it our best day ever. She kept everything running smoothly, from our jam-packed schedule to handling all the little things, such as making sure we hydrated and fed through that night, that allowed us to relax, be present and enjoy the evening.

For anyone reading this review, Melbourne’s weather can be as indecisive as my wife and I trying to decide what to have for dinner on a Tuesday night. The indoor option at Acacia Ridge is simply incredible - legit. Even if the weather had been perfect for an outdoor ceremony, I would seriously consider the indoor venue - now after experiencing first hand - it’s that impressive and our ceremony was still perfect.

Overall, the team at Acacia Ridge is professional, friendly, and easy to work with. They run a well-oiled machine and made our special day unforgettable....
