Badger Creek Blueberry Winery — Attraction in Melbourne

Set just 800 m past Healesville Sanctuary, Badger Creek Blueberry Winery offers a truly unique experience, you won't find a winery like this anywhere else in the Yarra Valley. Their flagship? 100 % blueberry wines (sparkling, fortified, and still), along with award-winning St Ronan’s apple & pear ciders, part of their distinctive tasting paddle offering. It's an adventurous twist on traditional cellar-door visits.

We tried the wine-tasting paddle (4 × 100 ml pours), which included two blueberry wines and two ciders. The sparkling blueberry wine was beautifully crisp, while the fortified was rich and warming. I especially loved sampling cider alongside fruity wines—it made for a fun and varied tasting session.

To accompany the drinks, we enjoyed warm sausage rolls straight from their relaxed, picnic‑style cellar-door café. The flavours paired beautifully with the wines, and they offer other share-style small plates and cheese boards too.

We Had a look through their menu to see for gluten free options or any dietary options and to be told “go look on the website” after letting them know I’ve searched and not been able to find anything directing to being Gluten free options to be again told “look at the menu online it states gluten free options” After repeating that the website does NOT state anything at all the person then says “there’s a cheese board that’s gluten free, some other gluten free options on the menu” then I ask what are these options because it does not state anything gluten free online. I’m told that there are “a few gluten free options like bread can be gluten free or spring rolls but it’s on the menu look online”. Then reading out the menu options online to outline it does not state absolutely anything gluten free that I wouldn’t waste time to know what options I could eat as a coeliac. To be told this is a stupid thing to be calling about and to look online. After repeating Numerous times that nothing states online of anything offered Gluten free. This is ridiculous treatment to people with allergies. As if we do not deserve to eat. Turns out we spoke to the owner...

We bought blueberry speckling wine. When I got it in a paper bag and went home and opened it to drink, more than half of the wine came out. It wasn't warm, and even when I was touching the bottle, it was quite cold because of the car's air conditioner. Until now, I'm sure everyone have a experience to overflow the wine when you open it, but what do you think when wine overflowed more than half wine? It was $30 for a bottle of wine.

Also, when I call them to explain what was happen when I opened it, they simply said “ that’s your fault” “ I can’t speak to you right now, because of so busy” I am so upset about their attitude. I'm really disappointed especially because I thought I'd come again because They were friendly and good Customer service.
