A beautiful roadside picnic area with a table, somewhere to park the car and a public holding yard to fence your horses while you relax. There's no public toilet and I don't remember seeing the little hot plate for bbq, which used to be there. (Maybe I overlooked it.) There's a river at one end of the car park and across the road a decent walk alongside the river, into Green's Bush. I'm easily disoriented, but take note of where you're going when there's another track that joins the one you're on. Don't venture of the track because there is a fungus that Parks are trying to control and it spreads from the bottom of our shoes when we step on the invisible spores, which are off the track. Points of interest are on the big noticeboard near the start of the walk - this is the last remaining natural bushland on the...

Basic picnic area and car park regulated by Mornington Peninsula Shire. Can only give 2 stars for the picnic area but the Mornington Peninsula National Park to the south is 5 star. Facilities at the picnic ground are rudimentary at best. I was very sad to see last Summer a lot of interstate travelers and backpackers using the site as an overnight stop. The lone bin was overflowing with rubbish was strewn all the way down to and into the creek. Some of the campers had even used the creek as an open latrine! Greens Bush area across the road is a great place for a bush walk or nature observation. In Summer it is humming and many migrant species can be seen, like Rufous Fantails. As it is a National Park and important wildlife refuge, Dogs are not permitted and at this stage neither is...

From Baldrys Picnic Spot area, cross across the road and walk along the creek to start a really great walk to Bushrangers carpark, about 2 hours and then if you like another 2 hours plus minus to Cape Schanck. This po art is really nice as you will go through Banksia forest and have great coastal...

Pleasant walk in the bush. Using the marked out walking trail as well as the management tracks to the west, you can make round trips from about 2km to 10km. The longer walk goes along a creek, across fern covered old farming areas, through a deep gully and back.
