A beautiful roadside picnic area with a table, somewhere to park the car and a public holding yard to fence your horses while you relax. Read moreBasic picnic area and car park regulated by Mornington Peninsula Shire. Can only give 2 stars for the picnic area but the Mornington Peninsula National Park to the south is 5 star. Facilities at the picnic ground are rudimentary at best. I was very sad to see last Summer a lot of interstate travelers and backpackers using the site as an overnight stop. The lone bin was overflowing with rubbish was strewn all the way down to and into the creek. Some of the campers had even used the creek as an open latrine! Greens Bush area across the road is a great place for a bush walk or nature observation. In Summer it is humming and many migrant species can be seen, like Rufous Fantails. As it is a National Park and important wildlife refuge, Dogs are not permitted and at this stage neither is...
