Nice enough place. If you lived in the area, it would be a good spot for picnics and walks. As a traveller, it's an OK spot to stretch your legs. The faux waterfall, a nice lily pad pond and the towering dam wall make for an interesting wander.

Really enjoyed seeing the rubbish strewn at the bottom of the falls by wonderful humans who obviously think the 'take your rubbish with you' policy doesn't apply to them, and that chucking their rubbish in a waterway is OK if it means keeping the inside of their massive $100k suburban 4WD clean.

9/10 on the Old Fat Cow Rating Scale - paths nice and flat, and it's a short walk to cool things, but lack of shade on the walking paths turned me into a sweaty beast. 0/10 if you want to go to the top of the dam unless you're trying to give...

A very nice place to come for a walk, we came here to enjoy the views and see what this place had to offer. The gardens were amazing, the view from the dam was stunning. Plenty of car park.

There were a few drops of animal unmentionables on the dam and other places, which is probably to be expected. What is NOT to be expected is the public toilets.. In the men's toilet, every single toilet seat had urine on it. I get the word public is in the sentence, but for the sake of any person who needs to sit on a toilet to do their business it would probably do good to either have a daily cleaner or sanitary wipes to rid of the filth.

Overall this place was nice to have a walk and look at some beautiful sights. Especially the small waterfall caused by the water coming out from...

Recently, my husband and I stumbled upon this amazing retreat, and it's become a favorite we can't resist visiting. The sheer beauty and tranquility of the place are unparalleled, offering everything you need for a perfect outing. From serene picnic spots and barbecue areas to expansive play zones and a breathtaking waterfall, every corner exudes charm. The dam viewpoint provides a stunning panorama, and the various walking tracks let you explore at your own pace. Colorfully vibrant parrots add to the enchantment, and the availability of bird food lets you get up close. Plus, ample free parking makes it incredibly convenient. This destination is more than just a spot—it's an oasis of natural delight and relaxation that...

Where is this? 📍 Maroondah Reservoir Park, Victoria, Australia Don’t get lazy just because the weathers starting to get bad, go outside and explore! 🍁 A 41-metre high dam wall offers a scenic lookout over gorgeous gardens and a peaceful reservoir lake. Picnic in the park amongst the exotic trees and play in the open grass areas. The park features six rotundas, one shelter, six barbecues (gas and electric) as well as picnic tables scattered around the gardens, perfect for visitors to barbecue or just sit and enjoy the scenery. Maroondah Reservoir Park is part of an Aboriginal cultural landscape in the traditional Country of the Wurundjeri Peoples. ⏱Open from 8am - 5pm Acknowledging the Wurundjeri Tribe. Who are the Traditional Owners of the land. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
