Melton Reservoir — Attraction in Melbourne

This is such a beautiful place, especially the hinterland at end of Clarke’s Rd Brookfield. This is in no doubt a place that should be a beautiful park/reserve with picnic spots landscaping and the like. Southern rural water are the managers, and after numerous emails it was finally cleaned up. But this should be developed and made a beautiful reserve. Southern rural water have locked the main entrance to weir also. God knows why. So email the water minister and Southern Rural water to fix this all up. Maybe Melton council and Southern Rural water can work together. This should NOT be neglected as it is now. Very poor management. Beauracratic govt depts can’t seem to do anything well… overpaid management who couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery. Can anyone not see the potential of this...

Love this place, specially for fishing! I fished with my yak and its the best. Fishies are all healthy and plentiful. Although despite the beautiful scenery, this place is littered with rubbish by people that don't have any respect for the environment. Such a shame... the place needs cameras, better yet hidden cameras for illegal dumping. Also please if you've seen someone dumping rubbish, please do report them and council should do alot more...

Nice place to relax and feel the water of Werribee river. Spectacular view. Just bit a walk as road is closed due to construction work. Their is another way for 4wd. Good point for fishing. Melton Council as usual not interested to clean the rubbish and dump car from the area, which doesn't looks great and should have make a easy access way to this...
