Mount Donna Buang Observation Tower — Attraction in Melbourne

Climbing the observation tower was a bit scary but we all thoroughly enjoyed. Cant really say that the views from the tower were breathtaking, however, I think climbing up the tower to the top will offer more satisfaction.

Parking: We had gone during Mid Jan, so never had any issues with parking, but I think during snow season it could be an issue as there didn't seem lot of slots. Natural spring water: 3 kms before you reach the obs tower, you would find an open space.. parking lot?? (There is a toilet as well). There you would find lot of people queuing to fill up gallons of water. I just had a chance to feel the water and splash some on my face. It was a nice experience, even without having the opportunity to fill in extra large water...

Amazing beautiful family oriented place.

Sunday family bonding time well spent here.

A little muddy but we were all still able to have a blast and enjoy half the day here.

That half day went past real fast as the old saying, Time goes by fast when your having fun!......

Great place to bring families and friends, absolutely perfect for the kids and dogs too.

Plenty of amazing views perfect for photoshoots and weddings perhaps.

Has toilets near by, a van with hot food and beverages, awesome donuts, there is all a very high observation tower you can walk up and enjoy the scenery and take some of the most amazing photos.

Always great to have a backyard snowy mountain so close by especially when you have...

I almost dont want to talk about this beautiful spot in fear it will become too popular. But! This is one of my favourite places. You can breath the fresh air and see for miles all around you. Nighttime is my favourite time to be here as you can see the stars better than anywhere! It can snow up there so be sure to dress super warm....even in daytime. I dont recommend anyone with knee issues or bad health to try and climb the tower, its quiet high and can be strenuous. The only downside to going up there is the winding roads, it can be slippery and the corners can be very sharp. You also have some people who like to come up and try to be a rally driver so just be a bit careful, thats more...
