Thank you to Julie for making our day and picnic so special. Winery was stunning (photos don’t do it enough justice) and the cheeseboard was delicious. Every wine we tasted was beautiful on a sunny day - will definitely be back!

Gorgeous, down-to-earth winery. John is happy to have a chat and spend some time with you. Lovely, well-established gardens (I believe that's due to John's partner) and a really charming space. Oh, and the wine is great too!

A serene Art Deco inspired cellar door nestled amongst a beautiful garden. Particularly loved the Chardonnay and it was fun to use the specially designed tasting/swilling glasses. John Trueman was a charming host.

The place is cute and views lovely. The owners are super friendly. We arrived on a warm day and struggled to make some shade from the umbrellas provided. Maybe some more shade options would be better for the warmer weather. We were supposed to taste 5 different wines but were only given 4. We were never offered to purchase anything so we could sit outside and enjoy the view. That was it so we bought 2 bottles and left. I ordered 2 platters @ $10 per head and there were 7 of us. I was expecting exactly what was on the photos of their website. Meats, breads, cheeses, olives, dips, crackers etc., They look like quite substantial platters so we were going to enjoy them for lunch. What came out was 2 small plates. On each plate there was I wedge of cheese, one slice of a very flat cheese, crackers, a handful of grapes and a small amount of pesto. We were all a bit shocked and given I had organised the whole thing, I was very embarrassed and covered the full cost being $5 per head for tasting and $10 per head for a small mouthfull of cheese and a cracker. We were all looking at the website platter photo and comparing it to what was in front of us. One of my guests thought we all got this small plate each. If you're happy to sip on a bit of wine and go without the platter, you might enjoy the experience. As I said, the wine, view and owners were lovely. I just felt a...

This stop on our wine tasting tour was a delightful surprise. The inclusion in our was due to the tasting price as the "cheapie" of the area. Some of us were taken with the garden. There are lots of interesting plants from around the World. But the tasting in the courtyard with the winemaker was an intimate experience to share his wine knowledge. Great tasting pinot noir, especially when you know the backstory. The difference between 2019 and 2020 was obvious when you recall the weather events of the time.

We highly recommend that you book in for a tasting at...

After failing to secure a booking at one of the larger wineries on the peninsula, my partner and I managed to book a place at Myrtaceae Winery. Suffice to say, we ended up far happier than we would have been if we'd gone elsewhere. The wine was amazing, the owners were lovely and very helpful, the location was beautiful, and Sarlee the Jack Russel was adorable! One of the owners, David, and I bonded over our love of Fawlty Towers. We would gladly visit again, and intend to in the future.

Visit Myrtaceae wines; you'll...
