Just recently had hired this for my daughter’s first birthday (Wild One). The initial phone calls to Kathleen she was extremely rude and short but I proceeded because I figured she has been doing it for a very long time and I get it dealing with the same questions you would get over it! I did express concerns about the site requirements and had a back up plan because I knew the back up area was suitable however really wanted the site in a particular area for the party. She arrived promptly and on time and assessed what I expressed my concerns were on the phone and was straight down the line it was a no not budging! She said that’s why she is the cheapest and why she doesn’t not budge on the site requirements. I then expressed my frustrations as I wanted to have the petting area in that particular area and I could have either paid more money or even she could have packed up earlier. To which she responded you thought you could get me here and talk me into doing extra! Wow! Just wow! The arrogance! Sorry for hiring you for a party that I wanted to do and make special for my daughter! At this point I said she can just go and not bother and would have been happy with a partial refund because the energy was already off and wanted her gone as it something that is meant to be fun and cute! Would have rather paid more money for something tailored to my vision for the party! Thankfully the kids had a good time but because we had to have it in the front and the party was in the back it was just very annoying and not ideal! Yes I would recommend if you suit the site requirements with no issues but if you have concerns do not bother calling her she is booked up for a reason she is cheap for a reason. Also 27yrs in a business dealing with children and animals her tolerance isn’t there if hiring for a party you want someone happy upbeat and friendly … nice even! Don’t want the attitude of her previously dealings coming into your party we get it love you have seen it all before it ain’t your first...
Read moreI am very disappointed in this service and would not recommend to anyone! I had a booking for my sons birthday for August last year and unfortunately due to covid lockdowns had to reschedule. I rebooked for his birthday this year. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances (moving house the day of the party) I called almost a month before to reschedule for October (when we will be settled in our new house). She said because of us she is losing business and she is booked out for two months in advance. If this was the case it surely shouldn’t be hard to fill a Saturday morning in August. Kathleen also said that I was paying the 2020 price so couldn’t reschedule for October. I said I am happy to pay the new prices but would prefer to book for when there isn’t so much chaos. She refused to rebook without much excuse except I lost her business by holding that date. I was apologetic but life happens. So now I have one very disappointed little boy! I wouldn’t recommend using a company that cannot be understanding and we have all had a few hard years but we can’t use that as an excuse for being difficult, rude and...
Read moreI was at Healsville Racetrack this Saturday and was quite upset at seeing how the Guinea pigs and rabbits were being handled by the mostly unsupervised children at the mobile farm. The girl working spent most of her time at the gate (which seemed like a hazard in itself as there is no additional safety gate to prevent animals from escaping) and seemed unaware that the children were being very rough with the animals and were grabbing and lifting the tiny animals by their heads, legs and pretty much anything they could get their hands on. The Guinea pigs and rabbits were also dropped repeatedly by the children, sometimes from quite a height. I’m not trying to spread any hate to this business but I just wanted to spread some awareness as these are very fragile and delicate animals and they need to be handled with care, and children need to be taught this and supervised accordingly. Hopefully as a business you can try to educate children on how to handle these animals safely, and keep your...
