After seeing Redwood Forest , Mt Donna Buang we saw this Rain forest , though it was almost closing time , about to get dark we had some 45 mins left for sunset we thought why not have a quick look at his wonder Place . So again a good decision to see around & I feel greatful to have visited this Place .
The best thing was the Rainforest feeling , The pathways have been beautifully built , strong ,clean & Simpler in terms of going & coming back . Unfortunately I did not take much Pics as I was enjoying the serene surrounding the magical trees .
I strongly feel that New trees can be planted more as many times the trees after getting old & Or getting affected by other factors eventually die or cut down . So its important that the plantation drive of those lovely ancient varieties is carried out frequently by the Maintenance authorities . If they are already doing it's good , if not then I request them to get this started on priority else we will have only the name plate there as rainforest .
I saw many trees facing issues . The way we humans face health issue it's very similar that they also face & if corrective action is not taken then they eventually die . So it's important that apart from treating them , curing them , they simultaneously plant more trees so that forest Regeneration mode is active ...
May be they are already doing , if they are then I am very happy & want to congratulate the authorities for the same . Wishing you good luck & many thanks for Preserving those sacred &...
Read moreFollowing the scenic winding roads through the patchwork of nurseries, wineries, and orchards, just past Warburton at the junction of Mount Donna Buang Road and Acheron Way, you will find one of the Yarra Valley's surprise hidden gem - The Warburton Rainforest Gallery.
There are two attractions here tho
a 15meter high 40 meter long aerial balcony walkway named Skywalk (there is only 3 in Australia!) and
350 meters loop track among the tallest green lush trees
It is not a hike at all, just a stroll hence called a gallery.
It is a great spot to visit for family, friendly, solo or in a group and explore lush fern glades and towering trees. It's a cool climate there so a light jacket is recommended.
The path is well marked with steps and walking tracks along the way for you wander and explore.
There is also ample parking available.
