I recently attended my nephew's birthday lunch at this park, and I was pleasantly surprised by its proximity to us and its overall design. Despite the windy day, the valley design of the grass area provided shelter for us while the kids had a blast running around.
The availability of free BBQs was a huge plus, and they were easy to use and clean afterward. The park also had great undercover areas for setting up lunch and celebrating special moments like singing happy birthday and cutting the cake. The food was delicious, and the BBQs worked perfectly. I appreciated the bins provided for rubbish disposal, and it was heartening to see other families also respecting the park by cleaning up after themselves.
On one side of the park, there's a basketball court that seemed to be highly used, while on the other end, there's an interactive water park with water sprouting out of the ground. Although it was a chilly day, I could see how much fun it would be for kids and adults to run through on warmer days.
Overall, I highly recommend this park for its BBQ facilities, sheltered areas, and ample space for activities. Plus, the free onsite parking is a bonus. Just a friendly reminder to be considerate of where you park, as it's surrounded by residential homes. Let's keep the park enjoyable...
Read morePotential land buyers beware. I phoned up last week regarding information about land sales and also asked if there had been any titling delays. I was told by the salesman on the phone (who I've since found out is the manager Frank) that there haven't been any. Since doing my own research i have found out that there have been many delays. Thankfully after doing some more research on the estate i found out that the sales manager Frank lied to me. He should just be honest and transparent. I know it's pandemic and lockdown and he might be struggling for sales but just be honest with people because you will often get caught out for your lies. I know that things don't always go to plan with land titling but anyone considering buying land should be made aware of this and be given honest answers when asking questions like this. Just be transparent with people Frank, your lies and dishonesty could be responsible for people making a decison that they wouldn't have made had they been told honest and accurate answers from someone that is the "manager" in charge....
Read moreThis water feature is the centrepiece in the new estate of Riverwalk. In the height of summer, kids don their swim gear and play in the public space under the watchful eyes of their parents hovering at the perimeters, a smile curling upon their lips. So popular is the water park that it attracts families from beyond the estate to bring their kids here just for an afternoon of fun. I've chatted to parents who have come from Hoppers Crossing and beyond who have taken their kids there.
Beyond the water park there is a hybrid basketball court and mini skate park with public restrooms a stone's throw away. There are also large pagodas with BBQ areas that are often occupied come the weekend. It's also a great place to jog, measuring somewhere between 700 - 850 metres from memory.
Once it does warm up again (I'm writing this in May) and you are out of ideas on where to take the ankle biters, consider the Riverwalk Village Park. Free and fun - what more...
