The cafe here is the most excessively overpriced place I have ever been!! We booked a gourmet tea for 5 people at $60 per person. On the phone when we made the arrangements with the manager of the cafe we were told we would receive a platter of meat sandwiches, a platter of vegetarian sandwiches, some antipasto, a platter of cakes, scones, tea and two bottles of champagne. Imagine our total shock when we were served two tiny boards with a lot of sliced cheese, a handful of salami, a few crackers, 3 miniscule quarters of a sandwich (for 5 people not even ONE full sandwich!!), 4 slices of a wrap (again, not even a full wrap!!), a couple of olives & pickles and only four scones!!! ZERO CAKES!!! And only ONE bottle of champagne as they said we could only have the champagne (and they gave us a cheap $16 bottle of prosecco) OR the tea so if we wanted any non-alcoholic drinks they would be removing the other bottle of champagne!!! They wouldn't even provide a jug of water on a very hot day! How on earth can anyone justify charging $300 for this measly quantity of food!!!! When we complained to the manager and also asked where on earth our platter of cakes had disappeared to her response was that we had been given four scones and "thank you for the feedback"!! On top of this, we had requested indoor seating as we had a baby, a person with walking difficulties and a person with severe hayfever allergies. Instead they walked us to the furthest part of the garden where we were seated on cane chairs and attacked by mosquitoes and flies. I cannot believe how uncaring some people can be!! Will never go back to this place as there are other lovely lavender farms in the area which have never left a bitter taste in our mouths, but I wanted to warn others to avoid spending any money here as it is a...

Attended the Dogs day at the farm. No one bothered to check if we were the 9am -1pm or the 1pm - 5pm session on our tickets. Dunno why we had to book tickets in the end considering they were selling at the gates to anyone who rocked up as a last minute decision. Then to add to it all, the Cafe was a long wait in line with not enough staff on (those poor girls run off their feet! They're champions for what they had to deal with), there was definitely not enough food or drinks. If there was two session times on the tickets, you'd think there would be enough food/ drinks to accommodate each session by going off the pre-purchased ticket amounts at the very least. I bought tickets very early on and was so excited to try lavender food and drinks, that I ended up with a boring Capi and a scone. Shame there wasn't even enough lavender lemonade. There also wasn't adequate water access for all the dogs, luckily we bring our own water and bowls. We were very underwhelmed and probably won't return in the future. It could've been such a great event if there was some coffee vans or food trucks, more stall holders and more seating. I get this was a first event of it's kind, but it was advertised across social media and even the Herald Sun, maybe sticking to the pre-purchased online ticket amounts and session times would've helped with the crowd and the planning of adequate food in the Cafe and staff (once again, this girls...

Warratina Lavender Farm is a serene escape and a delightful destination for anyone looking to unwind amidst nature’s beauty. Nestled in the picturesque Yarra Valley, this farm offers a unique experience that combines relaxation, great food, and stunning views.

The highlight of our visit was walking through the gorgeous lavender fields. The soothing fragrance of the lavender, coupled with the scenic backdrop of rolling hills, made it a sensory delight. It’s a fantastic spot for photography, and the peaceful ambiance feels like a true retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

The café is another gem, offering a menu that creatively incorporates lavender into their dishes. We tried their lavender scones with lavender jam and cream—absolutely divine! The lavender ice cream was also a standout, with a subtle floral flavor that was both refreshing and unique.

The staff were warm and welcoming, eager to share insights about lavender farming and the various products available in their shop. Speaking of which, the gift shop is a treasure trove of handmade lavender goods, from essential oils and soaps to candles and dried bouquets—a perfect way to take a piece of the farm home.

Warratina Lavender Farm is more than just a visit; it’s an experience that soothes the mind and soul. Whether you’re a lavender enthusiast or simply looking for a tranquil outing, this place is a must-see. We’ll...

We had the pleasure of visiting Warratina Lavender Farm on a sunny Sunday afternoon, and I cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, Annmarie, the owner, made us feel so welcome. She’s incredibly passionate about her farm and took the time to share the history, challenges, and detailed process of harvesting lavender. Her talk was so informative and inspiring, and you can really feel her love for what she does. The $15 entry fee was more than worth it – it included the fascinating tour and a cup of lavender ice cream, which was absolutely delicious. If you visit between November and December, you’ll see the fields in full bloom, but even in January, when most of the lavender has already been harvested, Annmarie’s stories and the serene atmosphere make the visit worthwhile. Don't miss the lavender scones—they’re a must-try! Plus, the gift shop is filled with high-quality, unique items that make perfect souvenirs. Everything on the farm feels crafted with care, and it’s clear that Annmarie’s dedication shines through in every detail. If you're looking for a peaceful, educational, and delicious experience, Warratina Lavender Farm is the place to be!

A Must-Visit Destination - Warratina Lavender Farm I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Warratina Lavender Farm, and I must say, it's a true gem! The farm offers ample parking, making it easily accessible for all visitors. Photography enthusiasts will be in heaven, as the picturesque lavender fields provide a stunning backdrop for capturing memorable moments. With an affordable ticket price of $15 per adult and free admission for kids under 6 years, it's an excellent value for families and groups. The on-site cafe is a lovely addition, offering a perfect spot to relax and unwind amidst the beautiful surroundings. The best time to visit is from November to January, with December being an ideal month for photography. If you're interested in witnessing the harvesting process, plan your visit from December onwards. Overall, I highly recommend Warratina Lavender Farm to anyone seeking a unique and enchanting experience. Don't miss out on this incredible destination! 😄
