We organized our work Christmas break up at withchmount which was to be a set 3 course meal with drinks package. On arrival the staff sat us at our table and explain how this night will work and took drink orders, 30 minutes later the staff came back and informed us that our Christmas package was scheduled for Sunday so they can't honor the package we had planned. we decided to stay and order a la carte but with the restaurant still honoring the drinks package. We ordered entrees off the menu and got 10/11 that was ordered but decided not to make a fuss about the missing one. We then ordered mains, after an hour wait they bring out 6/11 mains. we ask how long on the other 5 and turns out the ticket didn't print so they only made 6 of the mains. they apologize and explain they will get the other 5 out as soon as possible a further hour later and the other 5 come out, 2 of which is the steaks which were meant to be rare but got done well done however we were not waiting again, it has taken over 3 hours to get these ones. The night was ""interesting"" to say the least a lot of stuff up from staff members with food orders, scheduling and our drinks constantly get messed up. The owner of the restaurant compensated us for the inconveniences in which was faced which is why they are getting 3 stars, it is not the owners fault however staff need to be monitored a lot better. The only staff member and person who saved our night from bering a complete nightmare was alanah she was fantastic and deserves the...
Read moreI attended the Saturday nights Harry Potter dinner dinner. The room looked amazing, but that was the only great thing about the night. Alot of time and effort was put into decorations and cocktails but there was nothing else harry potter themed. The food was nice, but the wait times in between each serve was long. There was no entertainment, not music, no table games or trivia! Not even the movie playing somewhere in the background. Alot of people got board in-between the the meals getting served. We were excited for the photo booth, unfortunately again a opportunity was waisted as there could have been a hp back drop and possibly some hp props to play around with but there was nothing, so that was disappointing too. Other then the room the only other themed item was the cocktails, the staff seemed to pop in and ask alot if we wanted to order cocktails, yet we struggled to get a glass of water. The staff also made it known that there was a half price welcome drink, yet no one received half price on there first drink. And at the end of the night, they were in such a hurry to get everyone out, they switched the lights off while people were still finishing off there desserts, that was extremely rude. Despite the above, I enjoyed the night out with my partner, and we enjoyed meeting new people, it was great meeting and chatting with other hp fans, but unfortunately we all felt that there was alot of opportunities missed and it was a bit of a let down. On a positive note, the chicken...
Read moreWe visited Witchmount for Mother’s Day and unfortunately had a negative experience. Food and service left a lot to be desired considering the price.
The dining area and atmosphere was nice with generous table room, clean white table clothes and live music for the occasion. Being welcomed by a host (and a complimentary drink for mothers) was the only positive taken from the outing.
Service from waiting staff was extraordinarily slow even though they seemed to be running around tables and aggressively placing plates. 2 incidents occurred where drinks were spilled right near our table alongside coffee beans later in the day. We were not asked for drink orders and resorted to going up to the bar to order, this was followed by a 20min wait for 2 cocktails and 2 soft drinks which sat on the bar counter for another 5mins before we again approached the bar to collect our own drinks.
The food was also average and the selection of cold meats and cheese served as appetiser was the highlight. The entree gnocchi was cold and the main salmon was dry and over cooked.
To add to this their was a guest with 2 dogs (non-service dogs) which were somehow allowed into the dinning area.
Overall I wouldn’t recommend this establishment and do not intend...
