Just about anyone that calls themselves a melbourian should atleast visit this park once in their lifetime. I did twice but that was over 3 decades in the 1980's via a school excursion. I probably went there my first time either in 1984/85 and then maybe 1987/88 via the old style US Greyhound bus coaches which maybe made it even more of a treat at that time all of us wearing name sticker tags on school uniform shirts/jumpers. What times they were, I do remember the bridge walkways through the tree forests which I think were elevated high up as well and the constant sound of birds and wildlife fauna?! I'll probably never go there again as wouldn't want to ruin treasured childhood memories where things were once so great and made sense.It's too far for me to revisit now and I'm happy and content that I went there as a kid where it really mattered.
