Beautiful gem hidden within Mitcham. You can't believe you're in the suburbs and within minutes from the busy Eastlink freeway and Eastland/Costco area of Ringwood. My favourite place to go for a walk; it's very safe and you still get 4G on your phone!! There are plenty of trails and one leads directly to nearby Schwerkolt Cottage and Museum. The carpark nearest the toilets and info centre is at Ashburton Drive and you can refill your water bottle there as well. The bike track goes all the way to Mullum Mullum Creek I can spend two hours here just leisurely walking and being in nature, listening to the birds and watching the ducks. There's a pond and parts of the creek along the walk, with naturally fallen trees creating bridges. Just absolutely my go-to place for when the weather is perfect to go for walks or even a jog/run! Dogs must...

Though small, I can see that lots of thoughts have been put into this park. It is located on a hill along the Mullum Mullum Creek fully lined with shady trees and walking and cycling tracks.

The reserve also has a few ponds with a waterfall that feeds into Mullum Mullum Creek. However, there's no water currently. The reserve also has good Parking area, an information centre and toilet facilities. There are a few park tables and benches on the toilet side of the reserve, and a picnic shade near the pond. The paths from here leads to the Park St (Park Orchard end of freeway)on one side, and Eastland (or Ringwood end) on the other side. Lovely cosy...

It is only by reading other people's reviews that open our eyes to the truly wonderful opportunities to visit spectacular Bush Reserves that we would never know existed in the Suburbs. So, everyone If you discover a piece of Bush Paradise put your reviews in so that we can all enjoy the experience. This place Is right up there and will continue to visit .Just be aware we share these areas with endangered Flora and Fauna and shared walk and cyclist paths, Cyclists slow down as the elderly who use these areas may not hear...

From the perspective of a walker, finding this park recently was a remarkably pleasant surprise. It seems to have trails off in all directions, (easy to clock up a good distance without feeling like you're walking in circles), some hills for those who like to work a little harder, it's quiet, it's pretty and has several spots around the perimeter for parking. Can't believe I missed this one for so long!

Was an interesting walking experience. Dirt / stone walking tracks, visitor centre, toilets, seating and lots of nature. Lot's of different birdlife sounds. Numerous smaller paths taking you off the main trail to somewhere interesting. Links up well with other trails and parks. Visitor centre not open all times but you can reach through gate to pick up some printed info.
