After putting this review on Trip Advisor, hours later 'someone????? just happened to write a five star review to express the exact opposite of EVERYTHING I said! The new reviewer found it helpful that while only some of the rides were open at a time, they didn't mind that most of them were closed for most of the time and they felt that it was really helpful that they had a small piece of paper to use as a guide to tell them when and what rides might be open!!? and how glorious the park is! BS! It's a rip off! Given the normal time between reviews, for unmagic mountain this is nothing more than an owner comment who is unable to reply to my review as it's too accurate and they have no answer!*
But here is my review of this establishment. While I cannot change my Trip Advisor review for 90 days to advise that the owners are giving themselves 5 star reviews, this is my review that I originally posted! While I REALLY HATE to leave a negative review, especially for small town businesses. These guys have well and truly earned this review, and they well and truly ripped us off!!!
Took my wife and daughter. With the rides that were closed on the day, height restrictions and ludicrous ride opening times we paid $110 for my girl to go on a bouncy castle, one go of the toboggan ride and two laps of a car track. While she would have loved the carpet slide, we would have had to wait 90 minutes for it to open, it would have then opened for half an hour at which point it would be closed again. Childrens playground was run down and not entirely safe (metal bars on the swing at face height) the wife paid $45 pretty much just to use the toilet. The only thing we got lots of were mozzie bites. I don't understand the insistence that our 7 month old baby who was not going on anything also had to have a wristband? But without one, she would have to leave? Left after just 50 minutes. This place has a lot of one star reviews, all since the new owners took over. Wish I had read that before wasting my money. Can't comment on the food as there was none available at opening tine as staff were just back from a run to Woolies and they said it would be 20 minutes, but 40 minutes later, still nothing. Forget a season pass! Who would ever want to...
Read moreMy husband and I took our 2.5 year old to MM last week. Purchasing tickets online was easy and we walked straight in. Our toddler loved many of the rides - The Grand Prix, Toboggan and the water slides included. The morning was tricky, however, as rides were either shut or not operating due to inclement weather. The rollercoaster didn’t open until 2pm which was disappointing, and when the toboggan ride got closed as we were sitting on a toboggan waiting to go - we then had to come back and line up all over again. Rides closing then naturally has a flow on effect to the other rides where the wait times increase by a lot.
I realise we did go in peak season but I feel there could be a few things that could be done to speed up the efficiency of the park and reduce wait times. Safety information could be played through a prerecorded video to all riders, instead of the attendant going to each person one by one to pass on the same information on the rides.
Would love some options to purchase photos of us on rides such as the toboggan - this could be a way to increase profits and put it back into the park.
Another issue we ran into was people leaving bags on the tables in the undercover food area. We ended up just sitting next to a random person’s bags just so we could have some shelter and shade to eat. Maybe there needs to be a policy about leaving bags unattended in this area?
I don’t have any idea how theme parks run so I could be way off e mark but I think these simple fixes could really boost the enjoyment of users and profitability...
Read moreBoring, Cringey and Expensive. Couldn't buy tickets online as it wouldn't let me add anything to my cart. Ended up paying full price at the gate, even for Grandparents and my Wife who were only coming to watch our kids have fun. Surely you can have a spectator price, that doesn't have a wristband and can't ride.
You can't help feeling ripped off, with No roller coaster operating, yet getting charged full price for admission. 10/04/21. They have a Dodgy Maze slapped together with random recycled colour bond fences, which takes all of two minutes to complete. The toboggan is the only thing enjoyable about this place. The ropes course looked fun, but was booked out and they charge you more on top for that.
The QR code at sign in is also painful to add everyone onto. Why can't you just use a Service NSW QR code like everyother place in the state does?
This was 2 trips in 1 for us. The first and the last. Do yourself a favour, don't tell your kids about this place and save yourself a chunk of money. Even my kids (6+11) said this place was rubbish and should change its name to Trash Mountain 🤭. I think that is pretty harsh, Mundane Mountain has a better ring to it.
We were there for under 2hours and all we did was toboggan, tube slide, carpet slide and maze, before everyone got bored.
We did see a large woman fall off the toboggan whilst being towed up which made the kids giggle abit. (she wasn't hurt) I suppose that added some value to the price of admission and will give them something to remember for...
