It's a bird watcher's paradise! If you're into bird watching, this is one of the places that you need to visit. We saw many fishing and water birds such as ducks, egrets, herons, lapwings and cormorants. Different rosella and parrot species, honey eaters, a wattle bird or two, and that's some that we saw. There could be more hiding that we couldn't see. There is a huge lake that's surrounded by trees and shrubs with a walking trail, which is nice and flat. At the entrance, there is a small park with decent toilet facilities as well before you drive further into a dirt parking lot a few hundred metres after the small park. There was only 1 car that was there when we arrived. So it's not very busy at all. We spent almost 2 hours there having lunch and exploring the lake...

Probably seasonal but there was a range of water fowl spotted from afar including a beautiful black swan.
Educational site for the kids with plenty of bird and historical site info for them (and I) to peruse through.
