Went out here for an "ADVENTURE" bike ride with mates on the 5th of Aug 2022 and I was soooooo far outside of my comfort zone but I just kept going as I knew I had support with me to get me out if I got stuck... Many thanks Tim and others. This place has been damaged by the rains we've had this year but still has many different levels or grades of roads to choose from and I was very pleased to get to the top of "A" Brake considering my capabilities and medical issues at the time. (knee reconstructions done only 14days earlier) If you have a 4x4 or... SUV or adventure type bike you need to get here and have some fun. However nill facilities within the forest to be had. Either Dayboro or Woodford for fuel...

Live in and around Brisbane, South side, North side or which ever side. Looking for a spot to load up the 4WD and get some dirt between your tread then this is a good start. Great for the first timer in the 4WD along with some little challenging areas. Stop out in the scrub unpack a lunch, stretch the legs, go explore by foot, have a cold drink or Coffee then matey you have wide variety places to duck into. Just get out listen to nature the bird calls, if your lucky the sound of the whip bird will ring through the scrub, maybe a wallaby or Grey Kangaroo scooting through or the curious Gonna sneaking along seeing what is going on and what scraps he can munch on ............. So go do it...

The whole park provides a fantastic series of wide interconnecting firetrails very customizable to your individual hiking capability. There are numerous starting points from Upper Brookfield, Lake Manchester, Gold creek reservoir, Gap Creek, Enoggerra Reservoir, and the numerous entry points along the Mt Nebo road. The best time to walk is March to October. There are bookable camp grounds interspaced in the park. Brisbane City Council buses serve some of the starting points. Remember to take water and plan your activity around the heat of the day. There are many volunteer groups who provide free guided walks in the park mostly with...

Nice Drive out from Brisbane through forest and farms. There is a nice picnic area near The Gantry with plenty of grass, parks, picnic shelters and bbqs. There are a few walking tracks through the National Park with many different things to see. Wet forest, pine plantations, lookouts, and eucalypt forest. All sorts of animals abound. We have been here a few times with the kids and its a great day out. There are a variety of 4WD tracks and you can go a long way with a standard city AWD but know your limits as some of the tracks can be washed out or very steep.

Great place for people to have their first offroad experience. Doesn't get sloppy and tracks are shut after excessive rainfall so extremely unlikely to get bogged. Some great swimming spots and picnic areas with the odd little fun track if you do enough exploring. Stock 4wd's are more than adequate.
