Sunset Rock Lookout – Short Stop, Big Views

Had a brief stop here but wow — what a view! The lookout offers a stunning panoramic scene that makes the name totally worth it. I’d definitely love to come back and catch the actual sunset next time.

Getting there is a bit unique — the path to the lookout goes through a narrow passage between houses, so just follow the signs. Street parking is limited, so you might need to park a little further up.

I’d recommend wearing sturdy shoes and a comfy outfit — the path can be a bit uneven, and the area is known to get breezy.

It’s a quiet, chill spot to sit down with a coffee and just soak in the scenery. One of those hidden gems that makes you feel glad you...

We were the only people there. The trail was not very easily discernible between two driveways to private properties (only a small sign that said "Lookout". After the recent rains, the trail had puddles along the way and was littered with debris. Not recommended for young families as there are no protective fences. The view was breathtaking, though. It was totally...

Fantastic little spot, easy track to walk along, just be respectful to the residents in the area, if there are just a few clouds in the sky it makes for a fantastic sunset, the temperature can change rather quick, I’ve gone from wearing just a shirt sweating in heat to a good jacket and feeling cold as the sun goes down. There are no rails so be...

Good viewpoint on rocks. The view can be breathtaking depending on the time of the day. No picnic spots or any facilities whatsoever though. This place is only a viewpoint. The altitude is high from below and can be very scary. Rocks are pointy so watch step. There are toilets, parks, picnic spots and also a museum near Mt. Victoria station.
