Gee, what can I say. Not a bad place but probably the worst Big4 experience I’ve ever had! We chose this place because of other Big 4s were so good.

Arrived late in the day, in the rain, after an awful trip but we couldn't even get inside due to the gargantuan first step! What now??? Do we sleep in the car? Do we go home after our long drive to get here for a special event? My wife is experiencing some knee pain at the moment, and attempting to climb anything other than a normal staircase is impossible. That stair setup is seriously non compliant. How do I know this? I’ve worked in the building industry and that wouldn’t pass code anywhere.

It is extremely unsafe for anyone elderly or with mobility issues. Waiting until someone gets hurt and then finding out about compliance is not very wise. Anyway, our person at reception couldn’t help in any way but advised me to go to Bunnings to see if I could find something that I could use as a step and then closed up shop.

Well…I went to Bunnings and thankfully, did find a platform that I could use as a first step. A $100 later, I got back to the cabin and set up a new first step and helped my wife get into the cabin. Every time we went in and out, we had to set up a temporary step. Stressful, embarrassing and unsafe but there were no options. Let’s be clear. I wasn’t expecting a special disabled access or a ramp, just a normal, accessible, safe, staircase would have sufficed.

Can't tell anything from their photos. No bedside tables. Shower head fell off! At least the water pressure was good and beds were comfy even though you could barely walk past them. I’m not even going to talk about the other things, but I couldn’t I get the aircon to work and then what about the wifi? Geez forget that!

We couldn’t wait until Monday morning! Will never return and we come to Mudgee...

I recently returned from a truly delightful stay at BIG4 Mudgee Holiday Park and can confidently say it deserves every one of its five stars. From the moment I arrived, I was embraced by a warm, welcoming atmosphere and helpful staff who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. The cabin was spotless, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the essentials—from cozy beds ready for a good night’s sleep to air conditioning that provided a refreshing escape from the summer heat.

The park itself is set on 15 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, creating an oasis of calm just minutes from the heart of Mudgee. I was particularly impressed by the outdoor pool, perfect for taking a leisurely dip, and the family-friendly amenities like the playground and jumping pillow that kept both kids and adults entertained throughout our stay. Every little detail—from the fresh, inviting scent of the cabin to the thoughtful extras like local tips from the reception—contributed to a memorable and relaxing holiday.

Whether you’re looking to explore the local wineries and heritage attractions or simply escape for a quiet retreat in nature, BIG4 Mudgee Holiday Park offers the ideal mix of comfort, convenience, and charm. I left feeling refreshed and eager to return, making it a solid five-star experience that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking a unique and...

This is a fantastic place for children and adults alike. There's a lot of thing's to do here two swimming pools and a sauna which costs$2 in,$1 coin's goes for 20 minutes but that's enough time and there is a shower in that room to wash off afterwards, Jumping pillow which is huge about 40 mitred a set of swings, playground equipment, fully equipped games Room with giant television and pool table. They have cabins, caravan and camping area's. We got a two bedroom bungalow cabin television with four chairs and a table an oven with grill and stove top and microwave oven cups glasses and utensils with one double bed in one room, bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a single on top. In the lounge there's a couch that folds our into a double bed. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the man called Steven who is on the front desk where you can buy icecream and soft drink Stephen is on the telephone who can tell you what special's that they currently have ,$104 weekday special for the cabin we stayed in. I would recommend this place to anyone who is wanting a getaway. Thank you to the staff especially Stephen who is always happy and friendly and helpful and will give you vouchers for different places in the area including half price kayaking and saving vouchers for...

We stayed at Big 4 Mudgee for 2 nights over the weekend. The facilities were good with clean kitchen & bathrooms. The location was perfect for us , we started from here for our self-guided cycle wineries tour . We had grass site and loved it. The reception was very accommodating. We got allocated with no grass site from the start but we came with camper trailer which needed to be set up on grass . The reception found the way to get us the last site . Camp fire is allowed which was our highlights of this trip.We loved the camp fire cooking after a long day of riding. Thank you. I would recommend anyone who is planning to visit Mudgee to stay here .

Stayed here for two nights on an unpowered site. The area was adjacent a creek opposite a light industrial area. The log splitting business started at 7.00am and what sounded like a concrete jack hammering business not long after. At 4.00 in the afternoon they were still going strong at around 75db (yes, i measured it). Don't stay in this area or the adjacent cabins if you want any respite during a workday. I had trouble conversing with my wife due to the noise whilst sitting outside. Amenities were adequate but location was a little out of town. Been to many much better van parks.
