Well, well, well, look who's feeling fancy today - it's Myall Lakes National Park, the national park that's like the Hamptons of New South Wales. This place has got everything you could possibly want in a nature reserve - stunning scenery, pristine lakes, and more mosquitoes than you can shake a bug spray can at.
Let's start with the scenery. Myall Lakes National Park is like the Instagram filter of nature - everything just looks a little bit better here. From the towering sand dunes to the crystal-clear lakes, you'll feel like you've stepped into a postcard (or at least a really good travel influencer's Instagram account).
But it's not just about the views - there's plenty to do here too. You can go fishing, kayaking, hiking, or even take a dip in the (slightly chilly) waters of the lakes. Just be sure to bring plenty of bug spray - those mosquitoes are no joke (seriously, they're like the size of small birds).
And let's not forget about the wildlife. Myall Lakes National Park is home to a whole host of critters, from kangaroos to wallabies to koalas (oh my!). You might even spot a dolphin or two if you're lucky (but don't get your hopes up - those guys are pretty elusive).
Now, let's talk about the facilities. Myall Lakes National Park has got everything you need for a fun day out in nature, from picnic areas to campsites to toilets (because nothing says "glamping" like a well-maintained bathroom).
But perhaps the best part of Myall Lakes National Park is the sense of adventure you'll feel when you're here. Whether you're climbing a sand dune or paddling across a lake, you'll feel like a true explorer (albeit one with plenty of bug spray and snacks).
So there you have it, folks. If you're looking for a nature reserve that's a little bit fancy (and a whole lot of fun), Myall Lakes National Park is definitely worth a visit. Just be sure to pack your sense of adventure (and a spare can...
