A short drive from Renmark to visit the lookout over the cliffs. Easy parking and a short walk to the lookout. The lookout is a steel tower about 15m high with wonderful views over the cliffs and mighty Murray River. The steel stairs to access the platform at the top of the tower are well-designed with good handrails so easily accessible for the able-bodied and safe for kids to use. The road beyond the lookout tower is in poor condition, heavily corrugated with few turning around points.

Headings Cliff offers stunning views of the Murray River and likely carved out by the mighty Murray River to expose the magnificent red and white cliffs. It was a short drive from Renmark, the unique, rich colours of the golden limestone cliffs make it a must visit destination. If you go beyond the lookout point the road is very dusty and corrugated, the only good thing is there is a toilet down by the river.
