Muttaburrasaurus Interpretation Centre — Attraction in Muttaburra

The Centre of Queensland! We came out to see the Interpretation Centre and were positively amazed by the amount of rock collected to form this dinosaur display. So quiet to just wander around and enjoy the moment and appreciate the effort that went into building this, especially when times have been so tough in the bush. We were lucky to 'tag along' on a tour of the historic grocery store, just a short one as like everywhere there is a shortage of staff and volunteers, but we appreciated the lady who didn't disappoint the 12 or so visitors as she filled in when the regular person was ill. Took a bit of time to find the centre, Miss Google told me it was a couple hundred metres sooner. Beautifully designed and well thought out displays. The model muttaburrasaurus was realistic and well positioned with sky behind it, and meeting to stop birds getting in. Information boards had a lot of information but not overwhelming.
