When I visited the lake was pretty muddy and I murky. There was a sign saying that the lake was closed to motor boats and jet skiis due to to low water levels. Aside from that, being a random Tuesday there was not a soul I'm sight. It was very serene to sit quietly and listen to the birds. There is a rather large playground there. It had a big dish style swing which I sat in with my two month old daughter. She was enjoyed the swinging motion. While I was there I noticed some Kangaroos at the waters edge. It was beautiful. Read moreThe lake, while not awful, could definitely be better if it had some more water in it. The caretakers were great. Very welcoming and friendly. The reason for the low rating was the plague-like swarms of mosquitoes. We thought we had come prepared, but nothing seemed to deter them. The showers were very simple, one press button for about 15 seconds of water time with no temperature control. It would have been nice to just have a cold shower. We were there only one night during qld Easter break. Power available. The couple that run it are very helpful. You can pay them cash directly.It was raining but on a clear day it would be great.
