The Google woman got us there but we were lead in a different direction on the way back then abandoned by the Google woman and after following several paths, trying to back track etc, I finally admitted defeat and called 000 for help. Embarrassing but we got out. Meanwhile it was beautiful in the area with trees everywhere, occasionally coming upon the river; lots of gorgeous family mobs of kangaroos but no koalas spotted that day from the car. If walking you would need all your gear; no obvious facilities. When we got to the specific entry to the reserve there was a sign advising to not come in with a vehicle if raining due to poor roads and potential flooding. Didn't see that sign on entry though. Even though you will be close to town and facilities if needed, this area feels very remote once you get out into it. There are a couple of "beach" spots where you can access the water, but otherwise there are plenty of tracks (both vehicle and walking) which you can find a myriad of wildlife!
