Great location!!! I visited mid august, great range of beautiful little native orchids. Surreal Dryandra trees, cutie fascinating sundews. Well marked paths.
My partner who just started to get into orchids last year ended up spotting most of them before I did which was a nice memorable moment. She doesn't have the same physical endurance as me yet but that didn't hold us back as the good paths had everything we wanted to see right alongside. So if you're not the most confident bushwalker but have plently of enthusiasm I think that'll also be your expeirence. Overall a memorable trip.
The foxes lair website has tons of information, one of the best websites for a bush reserve in the state, has maps of where specific orchids flower in the reserve. If you visit I strongly recommend checking out the website first to make ur trip even better.
Foxes lair is also right next to narrogin, so the ease of getting a hot meal and a soft drink before starting the driving back to perth is a major plus
