A lovely bit of bushland in suburbia. We walked from Burns Beach Road (parking available on the verge, not the best but OK) almost to Neerabup Road and back again. With a few photo stops and some geocaching along the way we were out for around 3 hours. The main trail is great for walking or mountain biking, there are a few other trails criss-crossing it that are sandy but a good alternative for the return trip if you're on foot. You can hear the hum of the freeway and the trains occasionally but it is a beautiful and fairly quiet walk. We passed a few dog walkers and cyclists but no more than 10 people. We saw a few birds and plants but not much else on this trip. At the top of the ridge we could see across to the ocean. A lot of the paths had crossroads marked with soft toys attached to trees, not sure what that's about and don't seem to have been there long but a fun spot if you're out with kids.

A place for all to walk, if you like a good hike you can go all the way to Yanchep. Just to update we walked just over halfway and back at the weekend what an amazing trial. Only downside so many rude cyclists that think they own the track. I am a cyclist myself, it does not cost to say morning and slow down a bit or to say thank you when people stand out your way. We met some very rude people, ones that even used expletives be we were walking. UPDATE August 20 I managed the full trial and then back to Ocean View Tavern 41k, what an amazing time. THe wild flowers where out and the trail was amazing, same issues with cyclists, why oh why can't they be polite.

A little slice of nature with tracks that are well maintained and generally quiet. Great for riding your bike, nice place to walk the dog, beautiful wildflowers in the spring and very peaceful. Tracks are very easy, nothing too challenging... so it's fine for young family outings. A lovely slice of Australian bush scenery in the burbs with the occasional sighting of the odd kangaroo at dusk. Recommended.

A lovely slice of Australian bush scenery in the burbs with the occasional sighting of the odd kangaroo at dusk. It seems the area is really popular for mountain bikers, which I can agree it looks really good for. I would suggest that they get some bins, even just at the entrance. Seems a lot of people are not picking up their dogs poos. Good challenging running tracks for those interested, great for mountain biking. Easy to walk, mostly level, crushed limestone path. Good distance for a long day...
