Bocara (The Lower Glenelg River) in SW Victoria is truly beautiful with stunning limestone cliffs and kilometres of serenity. The campsites were lovely, as well as being well set-up and sheltered from the wind. We saw koalas, wallabies, possums and kangaroos up close, as well as numerous species of birds. Read moreWe love the Glenelg River for kayaking. It is good for canoeing and boating also. Loads of keen fisher-ppl around, too. Very idyllic, peaceful place. It's totally worth a visit. Good launching spots on either side of the river in Nelson, though one is a little older but friendly for kids or various abilities.
